Another update on the house

The entire house is now closed in. The roof is complete minus the shingles (should be done early next week). The windows were installed on Friday and the plumbing is complete in the entire house. The showers and tubs were installed too. The heating and air will be installed next week along with the electrical. Then the drywall will be installed soon after the electrician is done. It is moving alot faster than we thought it would. We are so excited to finish and move in!!!

This a view from the street facing the front door. You can now see how the roof line is going to look. The living room is on the right and there is a bedroom on the left next to the garage.

This is another view from the street that obviously shows the garage. It is looking really good and we are VERY EXCITED to move in.

Lookin' Good!

The house is really coming along. You can now start to get a good idea of where the different rooms are and what it is going to look like. We are getting very excited. The other day we went and got the tile for the bathrooms and laundry room!! So way cool:)

This is the view from the backyard.

This is Stewart standing in the dining room.

This is the front of the house with the trusses. The house should be enclosed early this week and then the plumber, HVAC, and electrician will do their stuff.

Christmas

Stewart and I had a great Christmas. We went home to stay with family for almost a week. It was a nice break from a long semester of school. Stewart and I were able to go snowboarding with my dad and brother. This was Stewart's first time and I hadn't been in almost three years. We had a great time. Stewart fell a lot, but if you ask him he will tell you that he got really good at getting up off the ground. I thought he did a great job and really got the hang of it. We are hoping to go again. One funny thing that happened to us was mom's Christmas trick. She kept telling everyone that she could only afford to get us toilet paper for our Christmas present. Well the smart women that she is, she did get us toilet paper, but she put money inside of it! It was great!!!

Stewart and I also went to Fast Lane with his family. We had a great time racing against Parker, Justin, and Lanae. Parker won, and I came in dead last!

Here we are after our race was over.

Stewart and Justin in their racing suits in case they crashed.

It was a great time being with family.

More than just a hole in the ground

The contractors told me and Stewart that they are trying to get the whole house closed in as fast as they can, so they can work inside while it is cold out. So, I will probably be posting lots of pictures in the next couple of weeks.

This is the front of the house
Here I am standing in the door that goes into the laundry room. Our bedroom is next to the laundry room.

Stewart is standing where the front door will be

This is were our dinning table will be. These cutt outs are for the windows, and next to the windows is the door leading to the backyard.

The basement

Yea! You can kinda get a good look at what the basement looks like. This is a view from the living room. You can see down the hall and the rooms on the right are the bedrooms. The rooms on the left are the utility room and the bathroom. The room in the back is another bedroom.

This is Stewart standing on our front porch. The cut out is for the stairs going to the basement.

There's A Hole!

The builders started digging this past week.

I know these pictures are a little hard to see, but there is the hole for the house and the garage.
